This is one of my favorite home cooked breads, banana bread. When my bananas get a bit brown and I don’t want to eat them, I make banana bread or muffins. This is a recipe I have used for decades, but now I try to cook more healthy. So there are a few substitutes to try.


1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup crisco or butter 2 eggs
3-4 bananas
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup sour milk
2 1/2 cups flour chocolate chips

2 loaf pans
45 min- 1 hour at 350
