Growing up my mom taught me to look for the good and be grateful. This is one thing I’m so thankful for! In the past year or so I have been listening to self-help books and realizing how being grateful can change your life in a big way. There is a deep psychology behind this. It has changed the way my life is going- or at least the way I see life. Do you know you can’t have fear and be grateful at the same time? Now anytime I am worried or fearful, I start thinking of all the things I am grateful for and don’t stop until the bad thoughts are gone.
Being grateful for hard things is not easy, especially when you’re right in the thick of it. It does help each day to think of all the things you are grateful for and then when the hardest of days for your challenge is gone, you can be thankful you got through it and hopefully learned something. What I look for in the bad times are learning opportunities. There’s a lot to learn in those times- especially failures.
So when you are down in the dumps or when you’re flying high remember to be grateful. It will change your life.
