Visit the Garden to travel the globe! In the United States we celebrate ghosts and spirits at Halloween, but similar traditions exist in other cultures throughout the year. Discover nature's ties to spooky holidays and celebrations such as Mexico's Dia de los Muertos and the Hungry Ghost Festival of China and visit the Garden's pond aglow with lanterns in celebration of Japan's Obon Festival!

With crafts, activities, light displays, and more, this is a fun-filled evening you won't want to miss! Join us for Garden After Dark, an indoor/outdoor, costume and kid-friendly experience in the Garden to celebrate Halloween.

Witch Fest at Gardner Village

The witches have officially come out to play. Shop and see our hilarious display of plump, green-faced, wart-covered witches dressed to the nines in their most wacky and witchy attire: mismatched colors, floppy hats and frumpy bloomers. Fear Factory

Fear Factory is located an abandoned cement factory, rumored to be haunted by the ghosts of workers who died in unfortunate accidents when the factory was in operation. The haunt includes underground tunnels, catwalks, twisty slides that are several stories high, and more. Live DJ, bands, and beer garden on Friday and Saturday nights.

Fear Factory is located in the heart of Salt Lake City's industrial district at666 W. and 800 S.

A parking lot with a limited number of stalls is open at the haunt for guest use. Parking is also available along 700 W. Avoid parking under the nearby overpasses or along existing bike lanes. For an extra thrill, park at The Gateway mall and experience our Zombie Bus that provides transportation to and from the haunt.

Castle of Chaos

Castle of Chaos Haunted House is now open. We are located at 7980 S State Street in Midvale, Utah, south of downtown Salt Lake City. Online tickets are $23 or $33 for VIP skip the line. There are no fees for online tickets and you can get a discount code if you sign-up for a coupon. All tickets include your choice of the Four Levels of Fear (all tickets include the entire haunt). There is a small fee for using credit cards at our ticket booth. If you have 20 or more people, enter “group” at checkout (online online) for a great discount!

Night of the Running Dead 5K

Take the challenge and run three zombie races in one day!
5k-ish races €” Zombies vs. Humans.
Humans have a 2-minute head start.
Run fast or the undead will eat your Braaaaains!

Back by popular demand at the popular Andy Ballard Equestrian Center, this is our Dawn, Day and Night of the Running Dead Race. This is a zombie-themed race where participants register as either undead or human. As undead, you may dress as such and will start the race 2 minutes after the humans begin their run. The whole idea is to see an army of undead chasing the living. This is just a fun race andno contact along the courseother than normal physical contact expected at a race will be permitted.Costumes are optional but highly encouraged. This race is family friendly.

Monster Block Party

The Monster Block Party is a FREE, daytime Halloween festival for Salt Lake City’s goblins and ghouls of all ages. There will be trick-or-treating booths, a costume contest with prizes (Kid, Teen and Adult divisions), free arts and crafts projects, a pumpkin drop, live performances and more!
