Book Review: Think Again by Adam Grant

(A love letter to curiosity and changing your mind)

If you’ve ever argued passionately about something, only to realize later that—oops—you were kind of wrong… this book is for you. Ha- it’s happened to me a lot so this was a must read for me!

Adam Grant’s Think Again isn’t your average self-help or psychology read. It’s more like a wake-up call to stop clinging so tightly to our opinions and start enjoying the art of being curious again. Grant, an organizational psychologist (and possibly the world’s most likeable nerd), reminds us that intelligence isn’t about how much we know—it’s about how willing we are to rethink what we know.

I’ll admit, I started this book expecting a few smart tips on communication or leadership. Instead, I found myself constantly nodding, laughing, and sometimes groaning at my own stubborn ways. He talks about how we often act like preachers (trying to convince), prosecutors (trying to win), or politicians (trying to please), when what we really need to be are scientists—curious, open, and okay with being wrong.

There were so many moments that made me pause mid-page and think, “Oh no, I do that.” Especially the parts about holding onto beliefs out of habit or ego. Guilty as charged. But instead of making you feel bad, Grant makes you want to be better—more flexible, more playful, more humble.

By the end, I found myself rethinking not just opinions, but even small things—how I teach, how I listen, how I respond to people who disagree with me. It’s strangely freeing to say, “You might be right,” and mean it.

If you like books that are smart but not stuffy, insightful but fun, Think Again will be your new favorite. It’s part psychology, part self-reflection, and all about keeping your mind as open as your heart.

And honestly, in a world that changes daily, that’s a skill we all need.

I was asked to read this book while getting my certification at Bodhi Yoga. I liked it so much I have read it twice now- what an awesome book!
